They're sorta based of Sonic's shoes from Sonic Riders.  Dunno if you can tell or not...Anyway, for those who are blind...NO he doesn't have that green glowy shit on the front of his shoes anymore, NO he does NOT have those fuckin' quills on his back and...yeah.
